Casting Crowns

Casting Crowns is a Christian band of soft rock. The band was created by youth pastor Mark Hall (who is also the lead singer) to serve as university ministry. They recorded homemade CD's to spread the gospel message to students. The band appeared in a youth group in Atlanta before being discovered by contemporary Christian music legend Steven Curtis Chapman. Casting Crowns won a recording contract and became popular in 2003 with songs such as If We Are the Body, Who Am I, Voice of Truth. The band is currently one of the most sold in the United States.

Curiosities: Mark Hall, lead singer of the band, has a disease called dyslexia (memory disorder that impacts the learning in the area of reading, writing and spelling). Still, he managed to study music, and today make up much of the songs.
